In a short video clip footage that gone viral in google search shows a young black protester identified as 22-year-old James Scurlock was shot dead outside Omaha Old Market bar called The Hive near 12th and Harney Streets.
Scurlock’s father, called on Douglas County Attorney Don Kleine to prosecute his son’s shooter.
“Last night I lost a son, my wife lost a son, my kids lost a brother.
His daughter lost a father. All because he decided to protest against racism. There’s a lot of speculation and rumors about how this happened.
I don’t really care to be honest. My family wants closure and peace. What we want is for this to go to court and get a full prosecution. We want this to go with justice and go peacefully.”
In a latest update Jake Gardner, an Omaha bar owner, was arrested by police for shooting and killing 22-year-old James Scurlock.

Latest update : This is the video evidence presented by Kleine/CO’s office on the shooting of incident here . Prosecutors said Omaha bar owner will not be charge after reviewing video of the incident and deeming it an act of self-defense.
